1. This site is a literate site. This means that you cannot use chatspeak while in character, and you must use proper punctuation, grammar and spelling. Now, spelling mistakes are bound to happen, we are only human after all.

2. Your screen name must match that of your character. This will only happen once you have been approved, and you will know this when your name changes to the colour of your rank.

3. Language on this site will be kept to a 14A level. F-shots are not to be used, and you are not to be cussing and swearing at every chance you get. Should you abuse this rule, you will be warned only twice before you are suspended, and finally, banned.

4. Protego Hogwarts requires that all members be online and posting at least three times a week. I know that you have a life, and trust me, so do I. But you cannot leave others hanging in your threads, as it is unkind to them.

5. Creating an account does not mean that you are automatically accepted here. You must post an application straight away, to ensure that you do not abandon our site. Anyone who doesn't post an application will receive an email, and then be deleted if they still do not post.

6. Are you God? I do not think so. Therefore, God-Moding and plower-playing are strictly forbidden from this site. Anyone caught doing either of these will be warned only twice.

7. All introductory paragraphs must be at least 2 decent sized paragraphs. If you are responding, then only 1 is required. Detail is good, because it makes replying easier.

8. Since Canon characters are in a limited number, we will allow Custom characters, who are in no way, shape, or form related to one of the Canons created by JK Rowling. In order for you to be related to someone not mentioned on the list, you must PM the admin, asking to be related, and give a VERY good reason as too why. I am very strict with this rule, so don't expect convincing me to be easy.

9. To ensure that you have read my rules, I will ask that you post the following on your application, located under the Roleplayer section, beside Answer. Which couple if your favourite? It can be Canon or not.

10. I am going to limit everyone to four characters each, meaning that they can have no more, and always less if they choose. You may play a combination of villans and heroes, as well as male or female characters.

11. I will allow only 1 character per account. There are no exceptions from this rule.

12. Romance in this site will be tolerated. I have no problem with kissing, hugging, fondling etc. However, should the characters begin to take their clothes off, then I will draw the line. Either skip to the next day, or ask me really nicely for the password to the Restricted Board. I will not always give it out.

13. Violence is around the same areas as romance. Since there will be threads with heroes as well as villans, you must keep all actions to a 14A level. I will not tolerate abuse of this rule.

14. You may not kill another character, unless you have permisson from the roleplayer, and you have asked me.

15. If you happen across a board with the name of another character in the title, then you MUST ask to join. However, they do have the right to say no, so do not take it personally.

16. Relationships between characters are only allowed as long as both roleplayers agree. That's what this is for, to get to know the characters and the roleplayers.

17. Try not to talk OOC on the threads. It's annoying.

18. All characters are asked to have a signature and an avatar for each of their characters. In order for this to work, anyone with Graphic experience should PM 'admin' and let me know. Celebrities are too be used only, and can only be claimed once, unless you are a twin, and have sought the permission of both me and the person playing the other twin, should that twin be taken.

19. You will know that your character has been accepted once your name changes to the colour of your house.
