Fifty Years.
Fifty years have passed since the Dark Lord Voldemort was defeated by Harry Potter, in a battle that felt like it lasted for all of time, but was over in a matter of moments. From that moment on, things in the world would slowly return to normal, as each person was able to move on with their lives. The few remaining Deatheaters ran and hide, eventually dying out because there was no longer a cause for them to fight. And without the Deatheaters or Voldemort, there was no reason for the Order to continue. So, they disbanded.
The Trio went on to raise their families, living happily together as they brought up their children, and watched their children grow, to have their own children. Now, fifty years after the Great Battle of Hogwarts, their grandchildren are ready to return to the school, where they will be taught all they need to know about their magical powers, and how to correctly handle them. Most of them are thrilled to be going to the same school as their grandparents, while others are not as keen. Family values still play a key roll in their lives.
As each student returns, and the new ones are sorted into their houses, old rivalries are coming into play. The Malfoy's, despite their pureblood heritage, lived to see one of their children breed with a Muggle, creating the Finnes side of their family, while their other daughter married into the Pureblood family of Harris. They are now rivals with the Potter's and their Mayer cousins, as well as the Weasley's and their branches of family. The typical hatred between Slytherin and the rest of the school is slowly turning into an all-out war, with students hexing each other in the corridors, and making the school matron more busy than she has ever been.
Can peace ever be found between the houses, or are blood-lines and old family hates to be in the way?
